Frequently Asked Questions

What payment methods do you accept?

At the moment, Paypal is the only form of payment accepted.

What is your return policy?

I do not offer refunds for a wrong choice made, however if a sculpture arrives damaged please make sure to email within 48 hours of receiving it as we can arrange for the damaged sculpture to be returned. Refund for the sculpture minus postage charges, would be sent after I receive the returned sculpture.

Please be gentle with sculptures, and remember that they are pieces of art and not suitable for children under the age of 14 years.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I ship worldwide.

When do you ship items?

Sculptures are posted within 7 days from receiving cleared payment via Paypal (excepting custom ordered pieces). I live rurally and only ship on specific days. Thank you for your patience.

How are items shipped?

Each piece is packaged with care using polyfill and bubble wrap, with occasional use of packing pellets where necessary, inside a sturdy box packed in a postpack. Bubble wrap and other non-biodegradable packaging is repurposed from parcels I receive, to assist in minimising the environmental impact.

Items are shipped via Australia Post with a tracking number. If you require parcel insurance or express postage please contact me to calculate the extra costs.

What materials are your artworks made from?

All sculptures are made from polymer clay. They often feature details such as mica powders, acrylic paint, glazes, and hand-painted glass eyes.

Artist Bears are made from either quality faux fur, mohair or alpaca (both the latter sourced from Schulte). They are fully jointed with wooden discs and hardware such as cotter pins. They have glass or vintage boot button eyes depending on the bear, and detailing such as silk paint, air-brushing or Derwent Inktense pencils and copic pens are used for shading.

Drawings and prints vary, please refer to the specific piece's listing details.

Can the sculptures be kept outdoors, in the garden or in plant terrariums?

I recommend that all sculptures be displayed indoors. They should be kept out of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and/or water.

Whilst polymer clay in itself is waterproof and can be kept in plant terrariums, most of my snails and slugs are glazed with a product that is not waterproof (this is what makes them look shiny). Therefore if you are specifically looking for a sculpture to display with plants, or in an area where they will be routinely exposed to water, please contact me or order via a custom listing and specify you'd like an unglazed piece.

Alternatively you may choose to place your glazed sculpture in a plant terrarium at your own discretion. In this case please note that the glaze will deteriorate over time. The polymer clay underneath will not be damaged.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes, occasionally I take custom orders for certain types of sculptures (e.g. snails), usually at the beginning of a month. Custom order spots can be purchased via their dedicated listings in the Shop when available. Follow my Instagram or sign up to the newsletter on the home page for notifications when custom order placements are available.
